   Home      Stomach-Ache
Stomach ache, also called dyspepsia, is pain or discomfort in the stomach, which is a symptom of many different gastrointestinal diseases or conditions and is usually accompanied by epigastric upset, poor appetite, eructation and nausea. Pain can be constant or sharp. It suddenly appears and gradually grows.

The common causes of stomach ache are immoderate eating and drinking, emotional upsets, psychic trauma, overstrain affection of cold, etc. However, these causative factors lead to stomach ache only when the spleen and stomach are dysfunctioning. Although the spleen and stomach are the organs chiefly involved in this disorder, other organs may be affected, particularly the liver. Whatever the cause and symptom, traditional Chinese medicine is an effective treatment method for stomach ache. Not only do traditional Chinese medicine controls the symptoms, it often changes the underlying constitution of the body to achieve long-term results. Each patient will be treated as an individual. Optimal results will be obtained with both Chinese herbs and acupuncture when specific treatments are customized for each patient. If you would like to pursue this form of treatment or information, please contact us.
